My Brother has a Kubota B-3030 with a loader and backhoe that he bought new a little over a year ago. Since the first day he had it, the backhoe boom falls down when the tractor is parked and not running. It has gotten steadily worse over the last year. Now, he says the backhoe also looses digging power when used for an extended period - he says after about 3 hr of steady use.

Also, my perception of the machine is that the loader does not have the power that it should.

It has been into the dealer for 3 extended periods to be fixed, but they have not fixed it yet (not sure what they have done - replaced various valves in the backhoe last time I guess).

Anyone have any experience with these machines and these type of problems?

Could this be due to an undersized or defective hydraulic pump?

It could be just from a weak valve. The boom on the hoe dropping is normal given time, they all do. The rate might make be different but there are acceptable rates. ....
